“Our daughter was diagnosed with Dyslexia in December of her third-grade year. Her WRAT (Wide Range Achievement Test) scores were 1.9 (first grade nine months) for her Sentence Comprehension and 1.8 (first grade eight months) in Word Reading. We decided to pull her from school and do an intensive home-school reading intervention in hopes of getting her caught up to grade level. Mica’s warm personality, along with her personal and professional experience helping children with Dyslexia, helped us know right away that she was a match. Not only is Mica Orton-Gillingham trained, but she is also IMSLEC certified (International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council). We quickly began working together three days per week, beginning in January 2016. In addition to Mica’s tutoring, our home school curriculum was intense and consisted of reading aloud and to self, phonics, comprehension, two fluency programs, and other subjects. Mica was instrumental in helping us choose research-based fluency programs. Our daughter was retested eight months later, in August 2016. Her scores went from 1.9 in Sentence Comprehension to 5.8 (fifth grade 8 months)! Her Word Reading scores went from 1.8 to 10.7 (tenth grade, seven months)! Our daughter now loves to read and is reading way beyond her grade level. She is back in school and is thriving in fourth grade with glowing report cards. Mica’s reading program was and still is the best thing we have ever done for our daughter; we can’t thank her enough!”

"My sweet boy just took achievement tests, and his reading results were above grade level!!! We are so thrilled! When we started this program, he was in the fourth grade at a pre-reading level. This year he just finished sixth grade, and his standardized test showed a 9th-grade equivalent. His vocabulary and synonym test scores were awesome! Dyslexia is his superpower, and we are so happy to have found you and this curriculum. He is still struggling with language mechanics, so I will be ordering levels 4 & 5 before the fall.
